certainly did under Adams, not sure about under Neil

but it's not just about the start. It's about how the team responds when you inevitably start to lose a couple or have a short mini run. Do the old arguments start cropping up that would have been there last season? do players start b***hing behind the managers back again or criticising him a whatsupp group (whatever they do these days)? Does the manager start just picking his favourites, and go with 'safe' players?

There's so much baggage from a relegation season, that it's probably not going to be far under the surface for a while. A lot depends on how much Farke can really make everyone feel like its a clean slate; and that last year was an aberration to be forgotten about.
