Webbers liverpool history
Given Webber's ties with Liverpool previously I wonder how he will react to the Liverpool public derisory offer as he is very clear he doesn't like being bullied.
It also feels very much like the agent and liverpool are trying to paint us into a corner - with the underlying threat of "he will be unhappy". There will a real bit of brinkmanship.
From a neutral point of view Liverpool is an amazing move and if we get the reputation as a club that wont let young players move that brings in another dimension...
The next 72 hours will be interesting. Will Webber hold out and the move collapse leaving JL moody and non compliant or will Liverpool give in? Or will we use a player swop as a fig leaf to the fans for backing down in the face of the agent and Liverpool's public pressure. I think the deal will happen at some point - probably muddy 12m+ 5m add ons and a player.
Given he wasn't a guaranteed starter anyway this a real dilemma
