The key dividing line

Seems to be people who regret, but accept that what once was a sport is now just another cash cow entertainment business. And those who think that having paid and cheered they 'deserve' to see the club succeed (alongside every other fan at every other club).

Really hard to compete in the Prem unless you have an owner who can bankroll the club indefinitely, and even then if you're not kicking around the champs league you'll be at risk of relegation sooner or later.

It's bankrolling, not 'investing'.

I don't think I'll ever understand the vitriol or the entitlement of some fans (again, at all clubs) . I also suspect they have no idea how much their vitriol sickens a chunk of the fan base.

Hiding behind words like 'ambition' doesn't excuse the abuse slung at people who demonstrably care about the club, following every poor result.
