Sky Sports - how essential is it ?
Earlier this season , we had a game covered by Sky and someone posted, asking how best to watch it. In reply, someone else posted "Turn on the telly ??!!". As if saying, how can any football fan not have Sky Sports TV ? I think I know why. In my job, I often have to look at list of what people call their essential monthly expenses. Even if they are on minimum wage, or welfare benefits, there it always is - "Sky Sports £75 ( or close).
Myself, I won't have Sky, even though I can afford it. I'm amazed that people who buy it still complain about players' astronomical salaries - because about 85% of their pay comes from the fruits of Sky subs and advertising. Best excuse I've heard for low-income subscribers is, that if you have school age boys, you must afford Sky, no matter what, cos otherwise your lads will be laughed out of the playground ( every day !). Sign of the times ? But when someone posts on here, asking for a possible stream, please don't tell them "turn on the telly".
