A club offers £25M+ for Pukki in the next transfer window
Should Webber accept that offer?
Reasons against:
-Proven goalscorer at championship level.
-Scored 33% of Norwich’s league goals since signing.
-Will be incredibly difficult to replace him even with a lot of money.
-Selling a fan favourite might cause a backlash.
-No guarantee the replacement is a success short or long term.
Reasons for:
-Just turned 30.
-Seems to have regressed and lost some pace.
-Unlikely to have such a high market value again.
-Would be the perfect time to raid the leagues below prem level for a long term replacement, as ruthless as that may sound.
Unlikely to reach the heights of 18/19 again, especially if he’s less motivated.
That would be a really tough decision to make and that’s just one player. Webber has a huge summer ahead of him. I also wonder what the general consensus is on his current market value, as I’m not sure if I’m valuing him accurately.
