Lots of games in a short space of time, plus hot weather. Start with a side he thinks might be solid (I did say *might*) then fringe more flair/expressive players in the second half.

Presumably he may also want to make sure squad players have some game time as they’ll inevitably be some injuries over the next few weeks.

Oh, and he has the cup game in mind.

Not the side I’d have picked but we’ll see. It was a crap performance on Friday so fair enough - massive call though
