The one thing that might count for us

is the players' embarrassment and giving a reaction to that last performance on the pitch. However that's not really worked out before. The game I hark back to is Villa away under Worthy: one of the most godawful games I've ever attended and the only one I've been to where I very nearly left early. The Soton game was like that for me, after a bright first ten or so.

Of course, we're down and we'll have a better time of it next season. We won't lose all our Bright Young Things and those we do lose we'll get good wedge for. Our balance sheet may be smaller but it's also better structured than that of mayn Prem clubs and most champs clubs: we ain't rich but we're relatively well-run.

However I suspect in the true way of Norwich we will win a few to keep faint hopes of a miracle alive before a last-day debacle. At least it won't be at Fulham this time.

I just want this season done with now, we're down and let's get ready for a strong promotion push in the coming term. It's almost July FFS.
