Piss poor argument there..

Firstly rooney is a link man between the striker(s) and midfield and his goals are a bonus to his creativity.

Secondly and more importantly, rooney was bought not for what he has done so far in his career, but more for what he will do in the future. You cant compare the purchase of a 27yr old player in his prime to the purchase of a 19 yr old.
