Fleming winning POTS last season

From this board it seems that 90% of people didn't want him to win last season, in which case how the hell did he? Did some people not vote for it?
This season the club has had only 5000 votes, and it seems they think that?s a good number , personally I think its s**te! If people care about who wins it then vote, don't forget about it then moan about who does win it!

Secondly I fail to see why so many people are so upset about last season's result.
Our championship win was built on the best defence in the league, by a distance. We didn?t score that many goals really, there were teams who scored more, some a lot more. This says to me that the defence played a massive part in getting us up.
Of that defence Fleming was Mr dependable, 7/8 every game apart from a couple of storming 9's and maybe 1 6, achieved playing in 100% of last seasons games.
Compare that to huck's. Now, short memories aside, surely people can remember the spell not long after he signed when huck's was quiet for 4/5 games. A lot was made of it on here (I seem to remember comparisons with neilson) and he really didn't do that much. It turned out later it was due to a knock, fair enough not his fault, but he certainly didn't have an IMPACT on EVERY game he played in, not by a long way.
Huck's fluctuated between 6;s and 10's when he played, and only played what, two thirds of the season?
Compare those records over 100% of the season and yeah huck's would deserve it, would of got my vote, but with the disparity in games played Fleming is the deserved winner. Add up the ratings each player got from each game last season and flem's total would be considerably higher than hucks. Yes I know that's because he played more games, but its POTS not Player of Part of the Season, so its valid.
Huckerby deserved second, and had the most 'moments' but for pure week in week out solid displays of consistent good quality over an entire season Fleming is the deserved winner. What else should 'player of the season' reward?
This season huckerby will win it, I've no doubt of that and it will be thoroughly deserved.
