Tearing down the statue of Edward Colston.

In my opinion it's no better than Isis destroying all of those historic sites and artefacts in Syria.
It makes me sad. We should never attempt to simply wipe away history however unpalatable it is.

Same with the nonsense over the Cecil Rhodes statue at Oxford.

Removing it changes nothing. I just don't get it. It's good to be reminded of mankind's wrongs. Discuss, learn and endeavour not to repeat.
