disrupted season, coronavirus episode should not be allowed to distract from the fact that we will have again failed to stay in the top division.

Some will not be unhappy about that and I do acknowledge that bad luck and some naivity from Farke as well have more than played their part but we will have budgeted to come 20th and most likely hit that mark!

Not only that but what has happened perhaps shows precisely why when you do get an opportunity you need to do everything you can to try and grasp it. Long term plans are great and that but any long term plan now has been de-railed for reasons beyond anyone's control. Staying in the premier league could well be the difference between having a viable football club next season and big, big financial problems.
