and have got complacent the longer they don't catch the virus or die themselves.

To excuse that attitude by blaming poor behaviour by government members/advisors is stupidity. Ultimately if you (or your family members) get the virus and end up in hospital it won't help at all to say "well Cummings drove all the way up to Durham so I thought I should do as I liked"
