Drove 10 miles to a KFC last night

Ridiculous I know! When I got there, I had never seen a queue like it with cars backing up near the motorway exit with KFC Marshalls controlling the the traffic.

I was presented with a Marshall who said there was a two hour wait and limited stock left! I turned around and went back home via a local curry house. Two hours to sit and wait just to get some fried chicken. This KFC was one on an industrial site so the road driving in could handle the traffic to a certain degree. The KFCs which are more on a main road or in and around town centres won’t be able to handle the traffic if it’s comparable to yesterday’s visit. McDonalds will probably be on a larger scale.

I can see places like Cromer, Sheringham and Gt Yarmouth being heaving today. Our local seaside place have made plans to widen the coastal pathway to accommodate more pedestrians by using one of the driving lanes for social distancing. Not sure whether this is a good move by the council; inviting people to come or trying to keep the public safe? I certainly don’t think it’s a good advert to put out in local press.
