He had what I thought was a pretty sensible suggestion about how football could restructure its finances.
Basically involved combining wage caps from the champ down with a move to the premier and EFL selling their broadcasting rights collectively and then splitting the proceeds 80/20 or 70/30. In a nutshell each prem club would take a £2m - £3m a year hit but every champ club would get around £15m a year in guaranteed tv income and leagues 1 and 2 would also get more even if you got rid of or reduced parachute payments and ditched solidarity payments.
Thought it was an interesting starting point for looking at changing things.
