The fact that someone came back from Wuhan in december

Is pretty strong link to it being Covid. And the symptoms of course. Can't be sure of course but seems likely that there were cases in UK back in December/January. If it is true, just find it surprising that they didn't lead to a bigger outbreak sooner. Have to wonder whether there were quite a lot of cases and even deaths in intensive care or care homes and just assumed it was flu as there was not test for Covid back then of course. Apparently we will get results of the 'who has had it' community testing study soon so maybe we will know more then.
