That’s kind of how I feared it might be. Interestingly makes what the FA Council says about matters arguably as or more important than the soundings coming from the premier league clubs although with the national league it appears the league/clubs took the decision and then the FA Council ratified it.

I suspect this situation will demonstrate the difficulties of having what is essentially a multi million pound business was ruled over by something akin to the old golf club committee!

Interesting also to note that the FA council members for the premier come from
Bournemouth, Brighton, Palace, Spurs and Man U but also Greg Clarke has appeared to talk some sense on this in the past as well!

EFL only appears to have one championship representative from Brentford.
