It makes sense to defer pay now and take a cut if the TV money is reduced

If football restarts and TV money is paid in full then I don’t have a problem with players taking their full pay, especially as they’re making personal donations to help charities.

Wage deferrals and cuts are about helping the clubs. It might not matter to Man City but we’re not owned by a billionaire who can just subsidise the losses.
