Just seen some simple calculations on player wage deductions.
If all players took a 30% pay cut for 12 weeks that would equate to over £500m in wage reductions and £200m in a loss of tax contributions. Does the government need this money?
I'm sure that £200m would cover all furloughed staff with plenty of change left.
