the only absolutely fair way is to wait it out and complete this season whenever it can be, even if that's August, but we know that is unlikely
Scrap the season? Unfair to teams doing well (not that I'd be against the rest of the league f%^&ing Liverpool over. Consider it payback for Heysel ban and our lost Euro adventure)
Use current table? Unfair to teams like us who'd get regulated on an uneven fixture list (15 very winnable home points unplayed for)
Promote but not relegate? Unfair to teams just outside promotion places for same reasons as above
