I think they have to be seen to try as hard as they possibly can

as leverage in the coming legal battles over that £750m. If the TVcos can say "...and they didnt' take all reasonable steps to try to resume/provide us our content..." they're more in the s**t than if they look like they're doing all they can.

Would be nice if the TV cos took a bit of a haircut, say making it £600m and then spread it over three years at £200m/year off that year's money. Might be a bit hopeful though.
