If they can develop a decent test that can give you a result pretty quickly then you negate some of the risks if the players are isolated.
Finish the season in July. Restart the new season in Sept/Oct (when hopefully things get a little better and drop a lot of the cup nonsense and international breaks.

To be honest it will be less of a problem if they play this season out and start next season in December.
At least there would be no legal action with 100% clarity.
