Being the sad loser that I am....

I will be going to watch the football in the pub on my own this evening.

This doesn't bother me too much usually, I quite enjoy taking a paper along and ranting away at the big screen. This usually happens on a Sunday, when the pub is nice and empty.

Friday night matches pose problems though. I possess a raging thirst and a weak bladder and so need to make regular trips to the bar/toilet during the game. The pub will probably start off empty but during the second half it will be busy and as soon as you stand up someone will nick your seat.

So, does anyone have any good ideas for keeping people away from my seat while I am at the bar/toilet? I did consider soiling myself where I was sat, which should stop anyone else nabbing the chair while I am at the bar. All suggestions are welcome.
