Couple of tips ....

the mosquitoes are right bastards. The insect repellant you buy in this country and take with you is their hors d'ouevres, then they start on you! If you're going all inclusive, use the local 100% rum and rub it on your white bits until you go brown (especially ankles, behind knees etc).
Buy some fly spray when you first arrive, then spray your room before you go out at night, then hopefully you won't get bitten too much during the night.
