We've argued about politics for almost as long as the Wrath has been around. The Iraq War stuff in '03 was as divisive as any of the Brexit debates (and even Tombs got in on the action back in those days). And the dogs abuse the 'Flem for POTS' supporters got back in the day, oh mine... It mostly stayed civil though.

However we didn't have endemic trolls and sock puppets back then. If you exclude Himmers on a wind up, and Colney Gaz, and Mike in the USA, of course.

OK, so we had sock puppets but they were generally amusing and benign.

There has just been a general internet-wide rise in weirdos hiding behind anonymous usernames to hurl abuse and hate, and WotB isn't immune. The lack of moderation doesn't help, and means things like South Stand Corner's stuff below just becomes par for the course.

Which is a shame, as some stuff does occasionally get a reaction from Ben (the nuking of the dumpling posts) but it might just be too little too late. As BwoD pointed out, it didn't take long for the bile to re-appear.
