Ashton or Crouch for England?

what are the advantages of sending each player to Germany and if you had to choose, who would you pick?

here's my opinion...

Headers:
Both have an advantage in the air, but Ashton's headers are better as he has some power in his neck. Crouch's height helps him specifically in the fact that the defence always pay too much attention to his aerial threat and let him get the ball to feet or let other players have too much space.

Dribbling:
Deano is a little better (or at least looks less awkward) than crouch at this, but both would be useful for those 'cut through the defence' moments.

Shooting:
Again, Deano has power on his side, as well as accuracy and a perfect instinct when in front of goal. Crouch has the same killer reflexes and placement but not quite as much firepower behind his shots.

Holding the ball up:
Both can do this very well, but Crouch has impressed me more on this front. He manages to create space for other players to run into and with a strike partner like michael owen, this could be very handy. His layoffs are always perfect and his timing is very good.

I suppose crouch has a bit more experience (especially at international level), but apart from that, i'd say it's even stevens.
