The Premier League's greatest escapes.

Leicester's final run to safety consisted of 7 wins, one draw and a solitary loss from their last nine games. That gave them a total of 41 points. After match week 22 they were 15th with 21 points on the board.

Fulham, West Ham, Portsmouth and Wigan did it but with considerably more points on the board at this stage of the season.

West Brom remain the only team with less than 14 points after 22 games to beat the drop with a final total of 34 points.

Having looked at our potentially winnable games I just don't see us getting anywhere near 30-35 points.

We'd have to win ALL of our remaining home games or hope for a couple of wins on the road and also hope that the teams currently EIGHT points above the drop zone suddenly go into self destruct mode.

The fact that we've already had too many demoralizing loses to the likes of Villa (twice), Watford (who were bottom & winless), Palace, Southampton (who are beating everyone now) and Wolves & Sheffield Utd (at home)

We've squandered winning positions too many times to look capable of putting together a run of wins. Palace and Arsenal as well as some of the teams mentioned above spring to mind.

How many people besides Huddersfield fans thought they would go on a miraculous run towards the end of last season? Absolutely no one outside of that small part of West Yorkshire.

I admire everyone's optimism but I just don't see it.

I'll be the first to eat humble pie if we do it. Watford give me hope currently.
