That is not not the Jules Rimet trophy
That is the FIFA World Cup.
The Jules Rimet trophy is the trinket that England were awarded in 1966 and which was then won for the third time by Brazil in 1970.
Brazil were allowed to keep the Jules Rimet trophy to commemorate their trio of successes and the FIFA World Cup trophy was introduced for the 1974 tournament in West Germany.
The Jules Rimet trophy was stolen from a display in Brazil some years later and has never been found.
Sometimes I see the name Jules Rimet associated with the current trophy by even the most (supposedly)knowledgeable media outlets and it gets RIGHT on my tits.
