Thoughts on Frank Arnesen...

...

Put it this way, its easy to understand why Chelsea are interested him.

Both sides are building for the future, but on different levels and ways, for example, Spurs are investing in fresh, young talent from the Football league, fine-tuning it and sending it out into the Premiership. Chelsea are buying as many European superstars as they can get their hands on because they can afford to and will go out and try to put some more silverware into that trophy cabinet of theirs.

However, one thing Chelsea are not is giving their young players enough chances to shine either because they are being blocked from the first team by some superstar or they are simply aren't good enough.

Both factors would appear to be correct considering the other day Chelsea released about 5 youngsters. Personally, hardly surprising and probably Mourinho is doing the unthinkable by Chelsea's standards and nuturing youth.

Therefore, Arnesen will probably be going to Chelsea to oversee the development of youth, albeit, produce the Chelsea academy and not someone like Tom Huddlestone from Derby County. At the end of the day, can anyone honestly see Chelsea investing in someone from the nationwide when they can easily spend the same amount of money on someone who is proven at Premiership level?

Anyway, the whole situation epitomises Chelsea's arrogance and is further proof money can get them what they want, thus leaving everyone else to suffer.

I hope they crash and burn.
