It's clearly easy to criticise the defence...

but good defending is not about playing as individuals, it is about forming an understanding and operating as a unit. The constant stream of injuries has made establishing that kind of understanding pretty much impossible. Literally every defender and defensive midfielder we have has been injured this season. It's obviously possible these defenders aren't good enough at this level but the crazily unfavourable circumstances are frustratinglyy so far making it impossible to really tell...
