A top quality post about a top quality player....
As I posted yesterday I think I saw every home game that Martin Peters played for us and quite a few away. These included a 1-1 draw at Forest in '78 the year they won the title. He'ghosted in' at the back in trademark fashion to head the equaliser. Inevitably time has moved on from that time, but younger viewers this time trust us.... Martin Peters was the best player ever to wear the yellow and green. Not just a one season wonder either, he gave us 5 years at Carrow Rd.
I would say bring back 1979, but given that was the year that gave us the 'Winter of Discontent' and Maggie Thatcher's election as PM maybe not. Stick with the memories.
