Fans always give lee-way to the 'flair' players

Take Huckerby and McVeigh. They are our match winners at our club, the players who can produce that bit of magic to make things happen. So people let them off when they make a mistake or don't track back or have an off game. Many people have touted McVeigh to be POTS this year on the basis of having a key influence in around half a dozen or so games, while the grafters who do the donkey work week in week out and are largely unspectacular get slated when they under perform. Take Doherty when he gave away the free kick to Leeds in the last minute - he was slaughtered on here, even though he has been one of our better players all season.

It's just the way it seems to be.
