The premise that there must be a 'billionaire' interested in acquiring the club
There is a finite number of people who are classed as billionaires (approximately 2600 worldwide).
Around 100 have already invested in a sports team (football, American football, baseball, basketball etc.). I would assume most of the others have no interest in buying a sports team or being in the limelight.
Therefore, the idea that there are loads of billionaires out there, clambering to buy a club like Norwich is absolute BS in my mind.
Even if we did get bought out by somebody super wealthy, it is absolutely no guarantee of success. The net worth of some champs owners:
Barnsley - $9b
Bristol City - $2.5b
Cardiff - $770m
Charlton $1.1b
Notts Forest - $650m
Preston - $720m
QPRhaha - $18b
Stoke - $3.1b
West Brom - $2.5b
So, if somebody worth $500m were to take over the club, would that satisfy the people who want Delia out? We would still be about 35th in the country (in terms of wealthy owners), so do we need somebody worth $2b+?
It's a rhetorical question because I think we should be simply amazed that our team has spent 5 out of the last 10 seasons in the Premier League, especially when you consider that we truly are paupers, even by champs standards.
