I used auto-trader and played 2 dealers off against each other...

.. once the Norwich one realised I might go to some other dealer that was offering a better deal but out of area, they matched the deal and gave me the trade in price I wanted. The car is a SEAT LEON but is equivalent of a GOLF GTI. (So SEAT Norwich)
