Need a midfielder in there who shows for it abd is comfortable receiving it. You can see the defenders looking around for an outball and then playing risky passes when it’s not there.

Tettey is actually doing the best in that role at present which is ironic as it’s perceived to be his weakness!

Trybull seems a bit inconsistent at the moment and McLean seems to want too much time on the ball when he plays that deeper role. You are right that Vrancic or Mo would appear the obvious candidates to sit next to Tettey in those type of games. We also miss Jamal as an outlet and as well as Byram has played I think the limitations of having a right back at left back were shown up a bit last night.
