Why...

when as many people used to watch Neighbours in this country, as there was the entire population of Australia... have the Aussies won twice as many medals as us at the Commenwealth Games?

Yesterday was telling as to why... one of our medalists in the cycling had had a s**t build up to the Games, and thought that she would have achieved by finishing in the top 6. English management just told her to go out and "do your best". She did, and surprised herself by winning bronze.

But that's why we never really achieve. Aussies mentality to win at all costs. For us, it's not the winning that counts, it's the spirit of taking part. What what stiff upper etc.
