Press news in....

We're in position at the Lotus Training Centre for Daniel Farke's pre-Southampton press conference. Updates coming shortly...

-----------------------------------------------------------------

DF: Alex Tettey is back. He has some slight muscle problems but we'll make a late decision on him. But it's not too bad.

DF: We were a bit disappointed in the evening. The performance was good enough for three points.
But we can't accuse ourselves too much. Bernd Leno was world class and we had the VAR decisions.

DF: We can take lots of confidence and self-belief from it. Four points from the last two games in good and we're in a good mood ahead of tomorrow.

DF: We had big problems with injuries but our situation is much better now.

DF: Things can change quickly in both directions. If you lose, the world is down but if you win, people think we'll qualify for Europe. We shouldnt be too addicted to the league position

DF: Wins are always important for the mood. But the performance is also crucial. We created a lot of changes in lots of different topics, counter, set-plays etc.
It's up to us to bring this on a weekly basis and across the festive period.

DF: We have had to be smart with our recovery. Sleep is important and nutrition. We shouldn't moan or show excuses for the quick turnaround.

DF: It's the first time in six weeks that we've played three games in a week. But we have enough time to recover.
They will be desperate to build some momentum after their first home win. They are on the up and will be aggressive and motivated. They are a good pressing team.

DF: Grant Hanley isn't back in team training. He may be back next week. We don't have many sessions together this week. The group was split yesterday for our recovery session. I hope perhaps next week he is back.

DF: We're still looking at January for Drmic. He will have been out for several weeks so we don't want to rush him back.

DF: I don't think it's neccessary to rotate too much. We need to take care of all individual situations.

DF: It's maybe too early to say we're on an unbeaten run. But we want to build on this. We can't win each and every game but it's good for our mentality to fight for a point.

DF: The mood in football changes very quickly. Southampton have some top class players. They should be in a better position.

DF: In the 9-0, they had a very early red card and came up against an in-form Leicester. It will be an intense game but we are confident.

DF: They will start aggressively. It will be a close game until the end. They have good supporters and will be there for their players.

DF: People made so much out of the Watford. We lost and we were down for 1/2 days but now we are several points better off and their manager has been sacked. It's too early to predict the final table after this game.

DF: But it's still an important game. Three points are up for grabs.

DF on the cup draw: Preston are a top class Championship side. It's always a tough draw because everyone puts the Premier League side as the favourite. We will worry about the game in a few weeks but we can't change it.

DF: I met Ralph Hassenhuttl at a manager's meeting but I haven't come across him at games before. I look forward to seeing him again. He has a good task to lead this club at this moment.

DF: Angus [Gunn] without any doubt is a fantastic goalkeeper. They have some great keepers. It's tough for him to be out the team at the moment. But, players have to be patient.

DF: It's important to be defensively solid and to create chances. You have to use your first chance at this level.
You need to be switched on from the first second.

----------------------------------------------------------------

That's all from the Lotus Training Centre. More reaction to come on our channels today and tomorrow.
