Earnie's goal

after watching the replay I think its obvious that as the ball came to him he realised it was coming too high for a decent volley with his foot and too low for a header.

My question is:

Do we have any other players who would have naturally been able to just "Thigh" it in or would all of our other strikers flapped at it and missed?

I think in thighing the ball in he showed is killer instinct in front of goal and I just don't think we have any other players who would have got it.

On the other hand I did get quite drunk today and may very well be talking out of my arse.
