listen pal, I will spell it out for you

1. My main point has always been that we should have looked to get someone in to buy/invest in the club who does have the money. A bit like Palace did - they are now building a £70m stand and a £20m training ground. A debt free club, newly promoted to the premier league would have been an extremely attractive proposition were it to be known we were looking for a new owner.

2. Even so, we clearly did not spend as much as we could have done in the summer. I'm not talking about spending £150m here, just finding the funds to strengthen in a couple of key areas. That's what we need to do in January now but it may well be too late.

3. The "no debt" at any costs policy holds us back here as well because we clearly have multiple assets we can sell if we go down. Again wealthy owner able to underwrite that debt would make a big difference.
