Webber
Just read edp article where he suggests supporters were complacent against villa. Tin hat time but I agree. It was never going to match man city but the supporters matched the team in how flat it was. I get it that some people need to be inspired by what's going on on the pitch but equally, a number of players have indicated a number of times through gestures to the crowd that they either want or need the encouragement of the crowd and I'm convinced they appreciate it and feed off it. We need to try provide it regardless of whether it's man city or Aston villa. If we do go down I don't want it to be with a whimper on and off the pitch but it felt like at the villa game, coming off the back of Burnley, palace and injuries that many supporters were thinking the worst already and their enthusiasm reflected this. 'In the olden days' a club competing against the odds would get even greater backing because the challenge would be recognised by the crowd. People did this for man city but it was very much absent against villa. I'd hate the momentum we built up in the stands atmosphere wise to falter just when the team needs us.
