The owners and Board were burned the last time we were in the Prem

They are only digging out of the bad spending now. If we hadn't gone up last season we may have never got anywhere close to the prem again as this amazing team would have been broken up.

Villa owned by a multi-billionaire. Our owners would look poor compared to several League 1 owners - that is the reality of where we are.

I get that people are frustrated when the team doesn't play as well as we know it can (today is a really poor performance all round), but we were never going to jeopardize the club during the summer.

That said, I would guess there is 30-40m to spend in Jan - let's see how we do 2nd half of the season.
