Have to be honest the last two games and all the injuries have been demoralising
I know there is a long way to go and we are well in touch and doing ok but we just seem to be fire fighting at the moment and it feels like the injuries have denied us a fair crack at the whip so far this season and the fact is its going to basically be Christmas at the earliest before we can put out something approaching a fully fit defence.
Many City was fantastic but the following two games have given it the feel of some sort of cup upset. Since then we've lost to two teams we will be fighting it out with in the bottom half and although we had a good spell on Saturday where we carved out a load of chances we've really gone down with a bit of a whimper in those two games.
Villa is therefore massive for the reasons you cite but we've been here before where every home game becomes a "must win" because we can't win away and we know how it ends. We really need to get out of this pattern an pick up some points away from home. Hopefully Tettey coming back will give us a bit more steel for the next few games.
