So MPs pass the deal, we ask the EU for an extension long enough to hold the referendum (which they would agree because we'd actually be doing something with it).
Then the vote - May's deal vs Remain.
Could satisfy enough MPs (both Remainers and soft-leavers) to pass.
Of course Rees-Mogg et al would go ballistic, but heyho.
