Munby's comments - finally an objective(ish) evaluation of Worthy
Munby talks about Worthy's record in the transfer market (which is a significant part of the problem, imo), and he says that a decent champ manager gets 4 out fof 10 signings right. And that Worthy has done significantly better than that.
Well we can test this, can't we? (And point out to Munby and the club if we think he's wrong).
A couple of times we've compiled full lists of Worthy's signings, and categorised them as successes or failures. Surely this is the time to dig this up again, no? And try to come to a broad conclusion on them?
Munby has given us a yardstick as to evaluating Worthy. Let's use it.
(My sense is that significantly less that 40% have been successes. But would be interested to be proved wrong.)
