5 is a good number IMO.

1 CB - Fleming to bench.
1 RB - Helveg's backup.
1 RM - Jonson to bench.
2 CM - Mulryne/Stuart replacement.

That's what I think we're after at the moment.

Then if Francis/Green/Svenny go, we'll be looking to replace those too.
