This is definitely the main lesson of the first few weeks.

It’s amazing just how big and quick most teams are. It’s not so much the level of technical ability that has struck me, but the levels of athleticism. And yes, every team apart from Newcastle have simply bullied our midfield to some degree. It’s why Stieps, Emi aren’t playing as well. They’re getting whacked much sooner and harder than they ever did last year.
