The game is now so win-at-all-costs, that I'm sure it happens. If you were to ask Iwan Roberts or Grant Holt if they made it their business to know if the central defender to mark them had been prone to a certain repeat injury, I think they would confirm so. I'm not saying that either of those former players would necessarily take unfair advantage of that knowledge, but there are plenty of pro players who would.
