The trouble with that noble thought
Is that it has no limits. A club can be a financial disaster but the football family will always step in. Horrible as it is for Bury fans there had to finally be an example - that we can’t just let owners throw away assets in the belief that they’ll be rescued because no one wants to see a football club vanish. And really Bolton has been a mismanaged joke for years and yet there are still preposterous ideas knocking around just so that we don’t lose it. Is that really fair on the clubs that do manage their finances?
