Sad state of affairs
and partly it's all down to rules and regulations. Remember the times when we'd buy players from lower leagues like Efan Ekoku, Dean Ashton etc etc.
That money used to help the smaller clubs continue - now the best youth talent will get taken by bigger clubs or bought at nominal fees....pretty much what we did over the summer
