It doesn’t take much to give credit without being patronising.

Something he could have mentioned, for example: Newcastle didn’t get the ball off Leitner or Cantwell more than a couple of times the whole game. That was because their passing and movement was so good they hardly got near them. His opinion would be that we just worked harder, which is almost certainly true, but the quality of their play was more important than their work rate and effort.
