Reserves last night
I watched the first 80 minutes (too cold to sit there for the last 10), thought we played pretty well.
Etuhu looked very good, in my opinion. I know he really should look good against a West Ham Academy side but he showed some very good touches and looked dangerous going forward.
Having said that, Henderson looked a cut above the rest so that may well say something about the quality on show.
Jarvis looked good too, more so when Thorne (RUBBISH!) had been taken off at half-time and replaced by Eagle (who scored a fantastic goal) as it meant he was able to play up front instead of on the wing.
Jarve and Hendo looked like a good combination up front, I'd like to see Jarvis given a chance in the first team, and if you throw Hendo in as another striker (i.e. not a winger) there are potentially some good combinations from the following:
McKenzie
Jarvis
Henderson
Earnshaw
Johannson
(please note no Peter Thorne)
Enough variety there, plenty of pace and some good finishers too
